My ride was cut short today due to rain, thunder and the threat of lightning. I almost used what my buddy Paul calls the SRS (spousal retrieval system). But I ducked under the overhang of an office building and waited for the rain to let up a little. I made it home on wet roads, but avoided any further heavy rain.
I suffered a flat, but as luck would have it, I was right in front of my neighbor's house. I pulled a small piece of glass out of the tire which left a nice little hole in a Michelin Krylion Carbon road tire. I was thinking I should get a new set before my Colorado trip anyway.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July, and I hope you get to enjoy some time outside.
That SRS can be pretty handy, kind of like road side assistance
ReplyDeleteFirst I heard of it referred to as the SRS...that's good. We had one heck of a storm up here. My wife works for an electric company and they have been working at outages since Friday and they still have a lot of customers out of power. I am not comfortable riding during lightning.
ReplyDeleteIs there a yearly fee for SRS? Like AAA?
ReplyDeleteTOB- not a yearly fee, but you pay....oh, you pay.
